Our annual Tech Salary Survey was bigger than ever with 150 participating companies across BC and Alberta and data on 206 positions. If you’re new to using Mercer’s survey platform (where participants access the results), there are tutorials and instructions here.
This pandemic is accelerating the rate of change in benefits programs. HUB has just released our bi-annual HR Tech Group Benefits Survey and the results from a September mini-survey regarding the impacts of COVID-19 on benefits plans. Thank you to everyone who provided data for these important surveys. If you did not participate in the Benefits Survey and would like the results, members can purchase the results from HUB for $500. The data is going to keep rolling in…. watch for the release of our inaugural Diversity in Tech Dashboard in a couple of weeks. This dashboard will allow the tech sector to track its progress on increasing the representation of certain under-represented groups within the sector over time.
You are all welcome to join us on October 28th for our D&I Tech Project Coalition meeting (register here), where our partners at Mercer will be sharing the dashboard results and discussing opportunities to use data to further your D&I goals including employee listening, internal labour market analysis, and pay equity analysis.

I’m particularly excited to share a sneak peek into one new program and one upcoming event…
The event is our Winter Holiday Social. Given we can’t get together in person this year, we’re getting creative and shaping a unique event that we hope will be fun and festive and act as a bit of de-stressor. Save the date for late afternoon on Dec 1st!
The program is a group retirement solution. We’re expanding our member benefits programs to include a Group Retirement Solution with HUB Retirement Consulting. Watch for communications on both of these new offerings.
